Greater Lishan, a region around Taizhong and Nantou Counties, at an altitude of 1,800 - 2,000 meters, is well-known for its high-grown fruits and vegetables. The yellow-brown soil mixture of shale and gravel with a top layer of organic matter naturally grows tea shoots that are rich in pectin. The tea has a smooth and sweet taste, and breathes sweet floral fragrance, complemented by the distinct high-mountain fruits and vegetal aromas.
